Grandma's Old Fashion Sugar
Cookies
1 cup shortening 2 Tbs vanilla
2 cups sugar 4 cups flour
2 eggs; well beaten 3 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk 1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Procedure
1 Cream sugar and shortening in large bowl
2 Add eggs to sugar and shortening and beat together
3 Add vanilla, milk and mix well
4 Sift dry ingredients together
5 Add dry ingredient slowly to wet mixture and beat together.
6 Chill 2 hours
7 Roll 1/4" thick
8 Bake 400° 10 minutes
