Pralines

            2  cups  white sugar         pinch      salt
            1  cup  butter               1      cup  pecans
            1  tsp   soda
            Procedure
            1  Reserve 2 Tbs butter
            2  Combine remaining ingredients and bring to boil.  Stir
              constantly for 5 minutes
            3  Add 2 Tbs butter and continue to boil until soft ball stage.
            4  Remove from heat and add pecans.
            5  Let stand 2 minutes.
            6  Drop by spoon full or size desired.
