Superb Pork Chops

            6      pork chops            1  cup  sour cream
            3  Tbs  butter               1  tsp   salt
            1      medium onion;         1  tsp   pepper
                   chopped               1        bay leaf
            1      clove garlic; chopped   3  cups  cooked rice
            1  cup  chicken broth
            Procedure
            1  Sauté' onion and garlic in butter until golden brown.  Do not
              burn garlic.  Remove mixture from skillet leaving butter behind.
              salt and pepper pork chops and brown both sides.  Pour off
              fat.  Lower heat and return onions and garlic to the pan.  Add
              chicken broth, bay leaf and simmer covered over low heat for
              one hour.  Transfer chops to serving platter.  reduce pan
              juices to half over high heat.  Reduce heat and add sour
              cream.  Heat thoroughly but DO NOT BOIL.  Serve with white
              rice.
