Beefy Green Chile and Cheese Bake
2 cups crushed tortilla chips 1 (4-oz.) can diced
2 Tbs water green chilis
1 large egg, slightly 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
beaten cheese, divided
1 lb ground beef, cooked 1/2 cup shredded
and drained Monterey Jack
1 envelope taco mix cheese, divided
1 1/2 cups mild salsa
Procedure
1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch square baking dish.
2 Combine chips, water and egg in small bowl. Press into
prepared baking dish; bake for 10 minutes.
3 Combine beef, taco mix, chilis, ¼ cup cheddar cheese and ¼
cup Monterey Jack cheese in medium bowl. Spread over
tortilla crust. Top with salsa, remaining cheddar cheese and
remaining Monterey Jack cheese.
4 Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.
